I am an amateur photographer who has found a passion for wildlife and bird photography.
My background is in the IT industry, so I love anything technology. I love to tinker with things and discover how they work and why. Constantly challenging myself to replicate things I see online in my own capacity. If I find something new I try to find out as much about it as possible and I think it is this that has made me fall in love with photography. Learning what settings do what and why, learning about the subject and trying to ‘predict’ their movements to get that perfect shot.
My photography equipment is probably very basic, but when I set out to buy a camera my plan was to get a good quality in a brand I knew that fitted my budget. I started with a Sony SLT-A37 with standard 18-55mm lens and soon bought a Tamron 70-300mm lens. It was a very good beginner body and great for learning as its compact, light and takes great photos. It unfortunately died, so decided to move up the chain to the ‘Enthusiast’ range with the below kit.
Nikon AF Zoom Nikkor 70-300mm f/4-5.6G
62mm UV CPL Circular Polarizer FLD ND2 ND4 ND8 Kit
